BELIEVE IT OR NOT:
"A+" students are "A+" students because of personal tutors.

FYI: Children who are consistently
successful in school, are successful because their parents are consistent.
Tutoring services are only as effective as the parents who consistently bring
students for services. No matter the tutoring service, we cannot
"fix" your child when parents seek services only when the child is
failing.
When services are initiated, continue throughout the school year. You and your
child will benefit from your consistent dedication to quality tutoring
services. If you find that your child is not progressing, seek another
service. The important concern is that your child has the help he or she
needs in order to be successful in school.

Parents Beware: The SAT examination process has changed. The
top score of 1600 has changed to 2400 points. Your child will be
evaluated more strictly according to the new procedures for testing. The new SAT
format will require more writing skills, including essay writing. Each
student will be required to compose an essay that will be evaluated by a team
of examiners. It is essential that your child practices essay writings before
the exam.
Enrollment into college is becoming more restrictive
and more demanding. Being able to compose quality essay and research writings has been a
major concern of colleges for years. While being able to pass the SAT with high
scores, enrollees were unable to compete in research writing skills, once
attending college. Much of college success depends upon reading and being
able to express thoughts in writing. The use of basic English
skills, within written compositions, will be a determining factor on the new
SAT. If your child has difficulty expressing ideas on paper, please seek
tutoring assistance, as soon as possible.
TEST PREPARATION BEGINS AT HOME:
When preparing to take any standardized test, be sure to have your child eat a hearty
breakfast. This does not include a McDonald's anything. This
means a homemade breakfast that may include eggs, toast, home fries, pancakes,
bacon, sausage, etc. Why is this important? Why should it be a homemade
meal? Fast food breakfasts do not
have the energy power your child needs for 3-4 hour tests.
Fast
food breakfasts are empty of that which will aid in sustaining your child's
mental energy levels during the rigorous demands of standardized testing.
Fast foods are processed foods that have empty calories and are loaded with
sugars. Compare the test to taking a long trip on a quarter tank of gas. How far
will you get on your long trip? NOT FAR! The same is present when you
allow your child to go to school, on a very important day that will have a great
impact on his or her academic future, with a nearly empty stomach. Make
every effort to give your child a proper wholesome breakfast before
taking any demanding standardized test.
